BBC 1 IP Jones 0

Another top performance by the BBC online team as they have seamlessly delivered IP coverage of England's first World Cup game. Delay over cable HD is somewhat up at around 12 seconds, and the quality at 350Kbps isn't quite what it was yesterday (they must be using Real's varistream - unlike with Windows Media, you can't easily check the actual bandwidth you're getting).

They are now rivaling the AOL team that delivered Live8 so well to a global audience. These are seminal moments in the delivery of broadcast over IP.
