The Little Box in the Corner

As the battle to be the box that controls the delivery of entertainment to the home warms up between the major telco, cable and satellite companies (let alone the major electronics manufacturers), perhaps it's time to concentrate on a less ambitious marketplace - the niches who would be interested in installing a small box just to receive their favourite niche sports programmes.

Imagine buying a TV channel - along with the cable modem to deliver it - from Best Buy with 'High TV' on the box. The technology is incidental - as it should be - what is important is being able to receive and watch your favourite niche programming on your TV or plasma screen.

After all, why buy another big grey or black box for your living room when you already have one, or two, or three... ?
