Yahoo buys Jumpcut

Yahoo have bought startup web video editing outfit Jumpcut and intend to integrate the company's utility with its file upload service.

More and more applications are moving into the web browser, such as the word processing utility Writely and this is a good purchase that will differentiate Yahoo's video upload offering in the short term. Yahoo, of course, already own photo sharing application Flickr and content sharing utility del.icio.us.
