Triple Play

IPTV in the US is making rapid inroads as Verizon announce they have achieved 1m households for their Fios service just 20 months after its launch. Meantime, AT&T's Uverse is also being rapidly extended.

Frankly, I'm not surprised since the quality of both picture and service from incumbents has been patchy at best. There seemed to be a tendency amongst traditional broadcasters to react rather than innovate in the US market and now the cablecos and satellite companies are going to have to play catch up.
