MIH is continuing to be the only major player paying any real attention to rolling up the TV over IP space. The recent acquisition of Dayport by MIH subsidiary Entriq has placed them firmly as market leader.
The South Afrian company, itself a subsidiary of a sprawling media empire, now has a service offerings for consumer media (MediaZone), downloads (Entriq) and media content management (Dayport).
How long before Roo, Brightcove and Narrowstep are taken out ? The fit with MIH is no longer very good for any of these companies, but the options for bigger players wanting a serious piece of the action are getting fewer by the day.
