Sky Taking The P

Once again last week I was asked about P2P. I groaned, thinking that this technology had finally been consigned to the 'technical ideas that never worked' bin as far as streaming was concerned.

But, of course, there are still advocates. If anyone wants to know why Sky's dreadful, dreadful Sky Player service doesn't work, it's because of using P2P as opposed to 'proper' streaming from Kontiki. Yes, the technology adopted and then dumped by the BBC and Channel4. At least the latter services were free...
