French Approach

It seems strange to compare the freedoms granted to DSK in France (which are rejected in the USA) with the attitude of the French to protecting IP rights. However on the latter the French are correct. Without protection of IP we will be commoditised and only the biggest will survive.

Individual freedom will suffer.

The great capabilities of the digital world to copy and share must be balanced with the fundamental right to property ownership; something Google have somewhat glossed over.

That Google would make the argument is understandable; they have shareholders to report to. The Govts should be acting in the interests of the Public.
