I have been trying out an android based tablet (Advent Vega) to see how it handles video and the ease of downloading apps from the android market. Since it plays flash straight out of the box it got a massive tick on the video front. Trying to install an "office suite" was more difficult as there is bug in the android market that does not recognise tablets as being associated with their owners google accounts.
With some persistent fiddling it was resolvable using non market apps but it is way more difficult than the app store on my Ipod touch.
Once going the product is excellent but in terms of ease of setup the apple solution has the edge at the moment.
