New data on sports video piracy

Please find below some extracts from the data collected from the KLipcorp SnifferDog database over the past months. This hopefully provides a useful overview of developments in the video piracy landscape.

We have monitored approximately 150 properties (mostly sport) since March 2011 and have identified;

1. Re-distribution of TV feeds from @50 consumer broadcaster feeds (Sky, BBC, ESPN etc)
2. This re-distribution being made across @150 consistent online re-distribution platforms (veetle, veemi etc).
3. This activity being supported by @350 advertisers (google, sky, vodafone etc)

The non availability of MyP2P.eu may hinder the ease of finding pirate streams but does not impact on the underlying sources. Monitoring work last night showed a consistent number of pirate streams showing the live football.
