You think you're buying stuff in the UK, like when you went to the shop, but you're not. You're buying stuff from other parts of this idiotic concept of a 'single market'. Places like Ireland and Luxembourg, where there are no taxes for Americans (but there are taxes for Brits like you and me !).
So, we use American services, buy their shit and end up screwing up ourselves royally. All with the beneficence of our ruling Eaton masters...
