Portals Move to TV2.0

The UK arm of Tiscali is reported to be taking over struggling, but pioneering IPTV provider, Video Networks in a straight share swap.

Clearly, Tiscali needed to up their offer in the market quickly to be able to compete and Video Networks provide a ready made service. The challenge will be to figure out how to deal with the large operational cost at the Homechoice parent company.

Tiscali itself remains something of a conundrum with constant rumours of the break up of its network along territorial lines.

Meanwhile, I can finally reveal that Narrowstep are working with Terra to build a Spanish and Portugese language TV over broadband service with initial trials in Spain and South America.
