No Permission

Permission TV has raised $9m from a bunch of venture capitalists. The company has a decent roster of channels, but the quality of the video delivered is dreadful - it's another Flash only deployment with very stuttery, poor quality pictures. Meanwhile aggregator PodZinger has renamed itself EveryZing (I'm not commenting - I'm the guy who thought YouTube was a totally stupid name) and has raised $10m from VCs.

The comment by lead investor Castile Ventures that their decision to invest was based on 'moving up the internet tv value chain' is an interesting one.

At the same time, the VCs behind online editing utility Cuts.com have called it a day and sold the company to Rifftrax. Remember 1999, anyone ?
