Terminal Decline

The bidders for Virgin Media's TV stations are telling - Time Warner, BSkyB and Channel4.  TV in the UK is far from the licence to print money that it used to be. The gross over-subsidisation of the BBC has destroyed UK commercial television. But, as we're now living in a post-free market world, that may not necessarily be a bad thing.

The very players who should be buying and investing in the market are selling their best assets to pay down their debts.

The UK media industry is in a terminal mess.
