It's a long weekend and I find myself at my home in Wales switching the computer on for the first time. Even here in the backend of beyond we have a decent 2Mbps connection and I'm happily able to watch any Narrowstep channel. In fact, my only alternative are the free channels on Sky (since I'm already paying for the BBC twice plus a full package Telewest subscription in London, paying for TV for a few weekends a month is an anathema).
This weekend there were rugby games, a cricket match and football that I would have quite liked to watch. None of them were available on broadband. We still have a long, long way to go...
Frankly, with the sun out and the hills beckoning, I don't care that much...!
