The UK's fifth channel, RTL-owned Five has launched its download service featuring a selection from the ever-popular CSI series.
I would report on how it works except on my machine it doesn't - it seems to think that I need a security patch on Windows Media Player 10 (to do with the ongoing hacks for this version of the Player, I suspect). When I'm directed to the Microsoft site it shows that I don't need the plug-in. Long time readers of this blog will remember that I had access problems with the Channel 4 streaming site.
The difficulty is the insistence from the content owners for a particular version of Windows Media DRM which, I suspect, is not compatible with UK versions of XP, or which have been upgraded since the specification was issued.
