ITV and Setanta have scooped the right for the FA Cup and England home internationals in the UK. Sky and BBC lose the rights.
As previously predicted on this blog, the cost of premium content is escalating - with an additional £100m being paid over and above the current deal. It's a big boys game, although I have huge admiration of how Setanta has become a global player from its narrowcast origins.
It does also mark the comeback for ITV under its new chairmanship.
