True Stories

AOL has revamped its video portal, Truveo, which claims to have the most advanced video search technology. There seems to be a common theme developing for the interfaces to internet TV services: the 'everything including the kitchen sink' approach of Truveo, Metacafe, Revver, YouTube, etc.. The 'webby' interface found on channels from Narrowstep and others and the 'polished' interface from Joost and Babblegum (which demand a download).

Truveo is likely to go head-to-head with Blinkx and the revamped Google Video service.

I personally think that there's a place for all three of these approaches, clearly the 'polished' interface is the closest to the existing TV experience
