F1 motor racing supremo Bernie Ecclestone is the craftiest fox in craftyland - the fact that he (or in reality his wife) has become the welthiest person in sports tells you all you need to know.
So, his decision to hand future F1 coverage to the BBC is unlikely to just be about the fee paid. One of the main reasons given was the BBC promising innovations, such as simulcasting the races online. Bernie obviously hasn't seen the woeful quality of the BBC's other attempts to cover sports online
