Oranges & Lemons

Another casualty of the increasingly becalmed UK IPTV industry is Orange TV - which was a great success in France - but the company has decided not to launch such as service in the UK due to its similarity to BT Vision.

The UK remains an oligopoly for content provision and this can be seen as a good (stable, large scale services) or a bad (no compeition or variety) thing.

But what it does mean is that the UK has amongst the best and most comprehensive Internet TV coverage in the world.

Still, there are little signs that TV2.0 is going to feature players other than those involved in TV1.0.
