Statistically Improbable

"Lies, damned lies and statistics" was the famous utterance of Disraeli/Twain, and when it comes to the world of television this seems most apt.

It is quite incredible how unaccountable viewing statistics are in a business worth billions, and this is propogated further by the company who are largely responsible for these lies.

The latest Nielsen ratings indicate that only 2% of video viewing happens over the internet in the US (the UK, Canada and Japan all have higher viewing rates and will, consequently, have slightly higher internet TV viewing rates).


Now, I've read and re-read the stats and they seem to indicate that people watch more video on mobiles than on PCs.. 

Surely some mistake...
