Hard Time Encoding For BBC

You just couldn't make it up. The BBC is using prison labourers to encode its back catalogue according to a report in The Telegraph. So, if any scenes go missing, I guess we know who to blame, eh ?

Encoding content is a laborious process (as is entering the metadata information that accompanies it), but there are many companies such as Red Bee, JCA and Content Republic who must be spitting teeth at this news. But I guess it's better and easier than shipping tapes offshore, which is the solution many others have followed.
