One of the most intriguing aspects of the launch of the mini tablet Dell Streak is the addition of a HDMI port, so that you can hook it up to your giant home screen. A kind of umbilical remote control for your TV.
So, you can now hook up your mobile phone and use it as a device for sending mobile video to the big screen. Essentially, it's a mobile set top box and it portends the prediction I made some time ago that, one day, all content will be delivered to large screens via a mobile phone. The only thing that's missing is, er, wireless HDMI.
Of course, the next step after this will be to build a projector into the mobile and you won't need the screen (or the HDMI port).
