IPTV is having an increasing impact on the distribution of television around the world, and it's good to see the nascent market in Turkey, currently with just over 100,000 subscribers, growing rapidly.
Turkey is both a significant market in its own right, and has a major expatriate community of the kind that often drives IPTV adoption in other countries through demanding access to programming from their homeland.
So, congratulations to my colleague Atif Unaldi on becoming Chairman of IPTV-DER, a new trade association representing this sector in Turkey. I hope that he will contribute to this blog in the future and provide a new perspective on the growth of IPTV in that part of the world.
