At the turn of the year we predicted that the Americans would soon be buying UK TV assets, and it seems that this prediction is about to become true as Liberty Global, who already own extensive cable operations all over Europe, for Virgin Media.
I still wonder if more reticent US centric operations such as Comcast might be tempted to enter the fray ?
Whatever happens, more and more of the UK's media is going to have US owners - although as a US listed company, Virgin Media has long been in US hands.
